Dr. MacKinlay’s research examines how banks’ lending decisions influence corporate
                                 investment, hiring, and growth, as well as whether such lending ultimately benefits
                                 or harms the broader economy. His work has appeared in leading journals, including
                                 the Review of Financial Studies, the Journal of Financial Economics, and Management
                                 Science.
                              
                              He has received numerous honors, among them the Marshall Blume Prize in Financial
                                 Research from the Wharton School, the Financial Research Association’s Michael J.
                                 Barclay Award, the Douglas D. Evanoff Best Paper Award at the Chicago Financial Institutions
                                 Conference, and the Best Paper Award at the IFABS Oxford Conference. In addition,
                                 he has earned teaching awards at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
                              
                              Before joining LSU, Dr. MacKinlay served on the faculties of Virginia Tech and Southern
                                 Methodist University. He holds a PhD in Finance from the Wharton School at the University
                                 of Pennsylvania and a BA in Liberal Arts from St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland.
