Performance Management
The campus Continuous Performance Management (CPM) represents a continuous process of planning, communication, development, recognition, and evaluation between the employee and the manager. Managing performance is an important year-long collaborative process and is crucial to achieving LSU's Flagship Agenda.

Planning Sessions
The Planning Session is for the manager to set major responsibilities, goals, and review the competencies for employees in Workday.
If the Planning Session for an employee is not completed, most sections for the Annual Evaluation will be blank.
Planning Session must be completed by the manager within 30 days of the effective date of the following cases:
A new Classified, Unclassified, and Other Academic employee is hired.
- An employee begins another position (lateral move/promotion/demotion/change job).
- The standard Planning Session period is as followed:
Classified, Unclassified and Other Academic employees will be conducted on January 1, through January 31.
