William Monroe, PhD, the assistant director for instructional technology with the LSU Law Library and an alumnus of the LSU School of Information Studies, joins the ranks of Louisiana Board of Regent's inaugural cohort of Meauxmentum Scholars. This position provides many opportunities for professional development as well as helping Louisiana's initiative for improving education across the state.

LSU Remembers Professor Yejun Wu
The LSU community mourns the loss of its distinguished colleague, Yejun Wu, PhD. After a long illness, Dr. Wu entered hospice care in mid-June and passed away on June 30. He was 56 years old.

The Association for Library and Information Science Education (ALISE) recognized Dr. Edward Benoit, III as the 2023 senior faculty recipient of the ALISE Excellence in Teaching Award. Dr. Benoit is an Associate Professor and the Associate Director of the LSU School of Information Studies (SIS).

Leading School in Library & Information Science Announces New Name - LSU School of Information Studies
The LSU School of Library & Information Science announced today they will be changing their name to the LSU School of Information Studies. The change reflects the school's expansion into additional areas of education, including the Archival Studies and Records & Information Management Graduate Certificates. The school also offers an undergraduate minor in Digital Studies and two general education courses.
