Capital Area STEM Network

Program Overview

In 2020, The Louisiana Board of Regents created a nine-region, statewide Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (LaSTEM) network whereby multi-parish collectives expand access to STEM education and pave a way towards a stronger STEM workforce through the collaboration of various backgrounds. LaSTEM aims to bridge the opportunity gap for underrepresented and underserved populations by having Regions work together, share information, and coordinate resources to foster connections with other networks and initiatives (as seen on the right). All while working in conjunction with the statewide LaSTEM Advisory Council.
