The Division of Strategic Communications, in partnership with the Administrative Process Improvement (APIC) Committee, recently launched a new website to support faculty and staff. The website compiles frequently visited links, highlights faculty and staff accolades and offers a comprehensive training and upcoming events calendar, among other features.

In the last few years and throughout the country, history has been made in some not so pleasant ways. When unexpected tragic events strike communities, crisis communication is a necessity and must be done correctly, by both the journalist and public relations specialist, in order to be effective.
Each summer, the Office of Academic Affairs facilitates a one-day New Faculty Orientation welcoming all new faculty. This August, university adminstrators greeted 60 new faculty members in the Art and Design auditorium.
The long awaited LSU Strategic Plan 2025 officially launches this September. LSU 2025 pivots off of previous plans to position Louisiana State University as a leader in solving challenges critical to our future state, while graduating the leaders of tomorrow.
Phase one of LSU’s Strategic Plan 2025 concluded in 2016 after months of input from faculty, staff, students, alumni, and business leaders. Approximately 200 people participated in face-to-face focus groups and more than 2,100 members of our campus community completed an on-line survey.
LSU is proud of its world-class faculty, and we are pleased to announce this year's recipients of university-wide distinguished faculty awards. These individuals will be recognized at an awards presentation and reception on Wendesday, May 3, 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., in the Noland Laborde Room of the Lod Cook Alumni Center. The entire LSU community is invited.
